Support our Frontline COVID Warriors
In view of the COVID19 crisis and at the request of the Indian Government’s think-tank, Niti Aayog, and the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, India (GNCTD), SaveLIFE Foundation has been supporting the city of Delhi with on-ground as well as the systems-level response.
SLF’s initiatives to combat #COVID19 , and where your support is needed, are listed below:
Protecting our COVID frontline warriors: Our frontline health workers, policemen and municipal staff are battling 24/7 to serve us and ensure our safety. Many of them have lost their lives to Covid-19 as they remain highly susceptible to infections. It is our duty to help them with the right equipment so that they continue to serve society without any problems. SaveLIFE Foundation has been at the forefront of this effort and has provided thousands of PPE kits and other equipment for the same. More is needed as the fight intensifies.
SaveLIFE Foundation helped with the urgent procurement of machines in bulk for fumigation and sanitisation of ambulances. These were handed over through Delhi Government to Centralised Ambulance and Trauma Services in Delhi. Evermore ambulances are needed too to support the Emergency response to save lives.
Arranging for Food for the poor: SLF harnessed the generosity of donors to provide 10,000 food packets at the height of Lockdown 1.0 to the hungry poor.
Nutrition Kits for malnourished children & pregnant women: Daily wage laborers lost their livelihood, and had little access to nutritious food, children and pregnant women especially. To alleviate malnutrition SLF worked with Delhi Council for Protection of Child Rights to distribute Nutrition Kits to Children and Pregnant women. More help is needed and more can be done with your support.
SaveLIFE Foundation has been extending a helping hand with support from the citizens of this great country. Come and support us. Help our Frontline COVID warriors to make this Fight against Corona a Success! You could lend a helping hand by contributing to any of the following:

Read MoreCOVID-19 has turned out to be one of the biggest tragedies of the decade. The pandemic has taken the lives of millions of people across the globe and India too has lost thousands of citizens to date.
More than 180 migrant workers have been killed in road accidents with more than 750 seriously injured while walking to their homes which are 1000s of Km away. Even as you read this article, thousands of migrants are walking with little hope of finally resting in the comfort of their homes.
Taking cognizance of the high number of accidents, SaveLIFE Foundation began working on ferrying the migrants to their respective states from Delhi. “The number of reported road crashes may be less amid lockdown, but the rate of deaths remains same, with the majority being migrants and essential workers and we wish to help them in our little ways, reaching out to as many guest workers as possible,” says Piyush Tewari, founder, SaveLIFE Foundation.
How did the work begin?
SaveLIFE Foundation is a Delhi based organization that has been working tirelessly in the field of road safety and awareness. SaveLIFE Foundation is instrumental in passing the Good Samaritan Law that safeguards the rights of the people who help road accident victims from any harassment.
Owing to their work in road safety, the organization was called upon by the Delhi government to aid in the various relief activities in the region during Covid-19 lockdown. Starting from meal and mask distribution to other relief assistance, the organization was working alongside the government to ensure relief to guest workers. However, the growing number of road accident cases alarmed SaveLIFE Foundation and it began focussing on this aspect as well. Hence SaveLIFE Foundation began ferrying migrant workers from Delhi to their respective states via buses. To date SaveLIFE has ferried more than 550 guest workers to their homes.
The Logistics
Colonel Jafri, Retd., Chief Operating Officer at SaveLIFE Foundation tells Efforts for Good, “Owing to the strong on-ground network, the volunteers were able to identify the migrants from different parts of the city. The volunteers prepared data on the migrants with respect to their home state and the same was passed upwards. After the number of migrants for a respective state is prepared, we approach the local government for clearance and testing of the migrants. The process takes a day or two, after which buses are arranged and permissions obtained from the District Magistrate concerned so that the buses move freely.”
Colonel Jafri, Retd. also added that the migrants are dropped in the central part of their city, town, or village and the migrants go ahead from there.
The finances

“They’ve built our homes and offices and cleaned our cities, and now they need US. And we must come forward to help them,” Piyush adds.
